Giovanni Baronzio, Madonna and Child with Angels and Saints: Detail, The Arrest of Jesus

On the left, Peter has cut the ear off one of the servants of the high priest. On the right, heedless of the assault on himself, Jesus tells Peter, "suffer ye thus far" and reaches over to heal the ear (Luke 22:51). On the far left we also see the young man who lost his garment in his haste to escape (Mark 14:51-52). On the far right, only partly included in this photograph, Judas leans in to kiss Jesus' cheek.
